Flexible Power Systems (FPS), the UK-based fleet electrification software provider, today announced that it has been awarded three independent ISO certifications: ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for information security, ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management.
All three certifications were confirmed on 17 August 2026 following independent audit by the British Assessment Bureau of FPS’s management systems across its London and Liverpool sites.
The certifications cover the design, development and operation of FPS’s digital fleet platforms, specialist power electronics, and associated optimisation services for customers across the UK private and public sector.
What it means for customers
For the fleet operators, retailers and public sector bodies that run their EV transition on FPS Operate, the certifications give independent assurance that:
- Fleet and charging data is protected. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the international standard for information security management systems. Accreditation certifies that FPS’s information security management system meets an internationally recognised standard for managing sensitive information, including risk assessment, security controls and ongoing monitoring, protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer data flowing through FPS Operate.
- Delivery is consistent and quality-controlled. ISO 9001 certifies that FPS’s has documented quality management processes in place for delivering products and covering everything from Transition Planning engagements to Operate deployments to specialist power electronics services and that they meet a recognised international standard for consistency and continuous improvement.
- Environmental management is independently verified. ISO 14001 certifies that FPS’s own environmental management system meets recognised international standards, aligning the company’s own operations with the decarbonisation goals it helps customers to achieve.
Why it matters
FPS’s certifications land at a point in the market where fleet operators are being asked to share more operational data than ever, reflecting vehicle and charger performance, site energy use, transport planning and operations through a single platform in order to manage their EV transition. FPS Operate already brings this data together for customers running pilots and scaled EV fleets, including organisations working towards their own net zero commitments.
Independent certification to ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 gives existing customers, and prospective customers evaluating FPS as part of a wider EV transition programme, a verified basis for customer trust covering how their data is protected, how consistently FPS delivers, and how FPS manages its own environmental impact while helping customers reduce theirs.
Together, the three certifications support the trust and compliance requirements of customers managing sensitive fleet, charging and energy data as part of their EV transition.
Executive comment
Michael Ayres, Managing Director at Flexible Power Systems, said:
“Achieving ISO certification is a significant milestone and a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment to quality across the business. Our customers trust FPS with their fleet, charging and energy data every day as they work through their EV transition and these certifications are independent confirmation that we treat that responsibility with the rigour it deserves.”
Dr Henry Clarke, Head of Platforms at Flexible Power Systems, said:
“FPS Operate connects vehicle, charger, meter and fleet planning data into a single platform, so information security has to be built in at every layer, not bolted on. ISO 27001 certification provides independent confirmation that the way we design and operate that platform meets an internationally recognised standard, and it’s something our customers can now point to directly.”
